Hi friends,hope you all are doing good.Today’s recipe is ‘Suji ka halwa’ . In India when we think about sweets the first 2 dishes which comes in our minds is either kheer or suji ka halwa.
Even in my childhood I used to cut halwa on my birthday. So it is very special for sweet dish for me.
Suji ka halwa brings back lots of sweet memories with itself and takes me back to my childhood days.
suji ka halwa is very easy to prepare at home with some basic ingredients which are easily available at our house.
So let’s start making it.
Steps to follow while making Suji ka halwa are:-
- Heat 2tsp of ghee in Kadhi.
- Now add some dry fruits of your choice and start stirring it for 5mins on medium flame.
- When dry fruits are roasted properly then take them out.
- Now add 1bowl of suji (rawa) in the same Kadhi.
- Start stirring it until you see the color of suji (rawa) is changed in golden brown color.
- When suji (Rawa) is roasted properly then add sugar to taste and mix it properly.
- When sugar is mixed well in suji then add 2glass of milk in it.
- Now add fried dry fruits and 1/2tsp cardamom powder in it.
- When you see milk is absorbed by suji completely then add 1tsp ghee in it and mix it properly.
- Cook the halwa for 2minutes more on medium flame.
- Your halwa is ready to serve. Serve it hot as it taste amazing when it is served hot.
Points to remember:-
- Use Ghee only for making halwa. Don’t use any oil.
- Try to avoid water in halwa.
- Make halwa only in milk .
- You can also use dry fruits without roasting them.
